Tanja Vujic is the co-founder and Principal of Novi Strategies, where she provides strategic guidance to corporate, foundation, and thought leadership organizations to move high-impact climate and clean energy solutions into the mainstream. Tanja, a lawyer by training, launched Novi Strategies in 2023. Tanja’s current work spans efforts to improve carbon accounting practices, reform governance at the federal and state levels to enable better climate outcomes, accelerate the decarbonization of natural gas use, and counsel private actors in promoting new technology solutions and addressing sticking points. Related to carbon capture and storage as a natural gas decarbonization measure, Tanja is part of a leadership team working on creating an Energy Attribute Certificate for Carbon Capture and Storage to promote clean firm power development from natural gas.
Prior to launching Novi, Tanja developed and co-chaired Jenner & Block's Transitions in Energy and Climate Solutions practice. Her former experience also includes overseeing Duke University’s efforts to fulfill its climate neutrality commitments, where she conceived of, negotiated, and implemented novel strategies, research initiatives, and projects to build supplies of greenhouse gas emission reductions and clean energy resources.
Tanja holds a J.D. with Honors from The George Washington University and earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Geology and Geophysics and Studies in the Environment from Yale University.
