At CMS Enterprises Company, the independent power producer (“IPP”) unit of CMS Energy, Pete leads the business development transactions and strategy team that delivers innovative renewable energy products for customers across the U.S. He brings more than 35 years of energy development and engineering consulting expertise and 17 years of renewable energy experience encompassing more than 5 GW of wind and solar generation and 1 GW of natural gas generation. Pete developed his customer focus over a 25-year consulting career by collaborating with clients and stakeholders and delivering value-added services and project outcomes. Before working for CMS Enterprises, Pete helped CMS Energy Corporation’s utility successfully develop and construct its initial utility-scale wind and solar projects. Having worked as a service provider/consultant, energy customer/provider at a utility and energy provider at an IPP, Pete provides customers unique insights and helps them realize benefits while meeting their goals. His past work also includes development, engineering and construction of transmission lines, emissions control systems, groundwater and soil remediation and industrial wastewater treatment. He also ran a successful 50-person energy, engineering and environmental consulting business. Pete is a registered Professional Engineer with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering.
