Winning the Race to Net-Zero: GM’s Roadmap to Sustainability Success
Description

General Motors is racing to 100% renewable power by 2025 and a net-zero emissions light-duty vehicle fleet by 2035. And in 2021, GM announced its Science Based Targets, and plans to become carbon neutral in its global products and operations by 2040. The company has committed to invest $35 billion in electric and autonomous vehicles and plans to introduce more than 30 electric vehicle models globally by 2025.

Aggressive goals and plans like these don’t just happen; they’re the result of GM’s direct, deliberate action to decarbonize further and faster than the company’s competitors. But how can your company commit to being a decarbonization leader – and what are risks, rewards, promises and pitfalls of that commitment?

Brian Haverdink, Energy Strategy Engineer with General Motors, will join Pete Lundquist, Executive Director of Business Development with CMS Enterprises to discuss  GM’s four-pillar approach to sustainability success. Attendees emerge with practical strategies to help evaluate and define their own paths to a carbon-free future.
