Emelissa Baluyot is the Global Lead for Supplier Decarbonization at Amazon, where she drives the company's supply chain decarbonization strategy to accelerate progress toward The Climate Pledge, Amazon's commitment to achieve net-zero carbon by 2040. In this role, she leads top supplier engagement, procurement enablement, and supplier mobilization initiatives that enable thousands of Amazon's suppliers to take measurable climate action by adopting clean energy and using lower carbon materials.
Prior to leading supplier decarbonization, Emelissa was the Principal Product Manager for Sustainability Science & Innovation at Amazon, translating climate science into scalable business applications and developing early-stage strategies to develop programs including net zero operations, circular economy, environmental equity, and climate technology.
Before joining Amazon's sustainability organization, Emelissa held product and program leadership roles at Amazon Prime Video, where she drove the delivery of voice-enabled Prime Video on Alexa devices and served as program lead for flagship launches including Prime Video's international expansion and Amazon's first live event—NFL Thursday Night Football in 2017.
Emelissa's career spans finance, accounting, and operations leadership across global organizations. At Aon, she established accounting and finance policies and led the development of new revenue recognition standards with the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and International Accounting Standards Board (IASB). At Motorola, she managed global teams across the US, China, Malaysia, Singapore, and Poland during the company's separation. She began her career at Deloitte, providing assurance services to the firm's marquee clients including Microsoft, Starbucks, Nordstrom, and Boeing.
