Emma Konet is the Co-Founder and CTO of Tierra Climate, a venture-backed startup accelerating the clean energy transition through agentic power trading. She co-leads the Energy Storage Solutions Consortium, a coalition of over 90 companies working to create new environmental instruments that enhance the decarbonization value of energy storage. Emma also serves on the Greenhouse Gas Protocol’s Scope 2 Technical Working Group, where she helps shape global emissions accounting standards to better reflect emerging technologies like energy storage. Prior to Tierra, she was Director of Market Strategy & Operations at Key Capture Energy, leading a team of traders and developers in optimizing over 300 megawatts of grid-scale batteries. She began her career as a power trader at Citibank, managing risk in the East power markets. Emma holds an MBA from Rice University and a B.S. in Chemistry and Mathematics from Tulane University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude, and is a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree in Energy.
