Jennifer J. Cady is the Vice President of Regulatory and Legislative Affairs at Minnesota Power where she provides leadership for five dynamic teams focused on public policy, stakeholder and community engagement, and regulatory and legislative affairs at the local, state and federal level. Minnesota Power is the state’s second largest investor-owned electric utility and serves residents, businesses and some of the nation’s largest industrial customers in northeastern Minnesota. Minnesota Power is the most renewable utility in the state, providing customers with nearly 60% renewable energy today.

In addition to her position at Minnesota Power, Jennifer is a 20-year military veteran and currently serves on the board of directors for several organizations, including the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce, the Center for Rural Policy and Development and Jobs for Minnesotans. She is also a former Chair of the Proctor Public Utilities Commission, a municipal utility providing water and electric service in northern Minnesota.

Jennifer has been previously named the 148th Fighter Wing’s Officer of the Year and one of the Duluth News Tribune’s “20 Under 40.” She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the College of Saint Scholastica, a Master’s Degree from the American Military University, and is a graduate of both the Leadership Duluth and Leadership Minnesota programs. Jennifer lives with her family just outside of Duluth, in Proctor, Minnesota.
