Dr Brian O’Callaghan is Vice President at Acadia Infrastructure Capital, where he originates and structures renewable energy investments with some of the world’s largest corporations and institutional investors. At Acadia, he spearheads the firm’s Climate and Communities Investment Coalition (CCIC), steering hundreds of millions of dollars for community‑ and utility‑scale solar transactions.

Brian’s career sits at the nexus of investment and policy. He has advised more than 20 governments—as well as multilateral institutions and Fortune 500 companies—on renewable energy incentives and strategy. He maintains a research affiliation with the University of Oxford and serves as a Senior Advisor to the United Nations. Experienced working with U.S. renewable energy incentives—including the ITC, PTC, and provisions of the Inflation Reduction Act—he helps corporations unlock tax credit value while delivering community benefits.

A Rhodes Scholar, Brian holds a DPhil from the University of Oxford, was a research fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School, and earned the University Medal in Engineering along with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney.
