Sarah heads the clean energy advisory team at Trio, leading corporate buyers through the process of buying renewable energy. Sarah and her team aim to serve as extensions of client teams, guiding corporate buyers through strategy development, market assessments, competitive solicitations, financial and risk evaluations and contracting. She also leads due diligence initiatives, assessing project and portfolio risks to help clients make informed decisions around renewable asset investments. Prior to her role at Edison Energy, Sarah led M&A transactions throughout the U.S. for Cypress Creek Renewables, successfully completing 33 distinct transactions and performing project-level due diligence on over 10GW of projects. There she gained experience negotiating deals, structuring purchase agreements, and leading due diligence efforts for utility scale and distributed generation solar and storage projects across the United States. Sarah holds a master’s degree in environmental finance from the University of North Carolina and a B.S. in civil engineering from North Carolina State University.
