As Managing Director of Origination, for Competitive Power Ventures, (CPV) Marcus leads the marketing effort for CPV’s renewable energy and low carbon development portfolios. During his tenure at CPV, Marcus has successfully executed over 5 GW of medium to long-term off-take agreements and complex commodity structures to support $5 Billion in financing of both renewable and low-carbon generation projects. Before joining CPV, Marcus held key marketing positions with PG&E National Energy Group, Duke Energy, Progress Energy, and Arch Resources. Marcus holds a B.A. in Business Management and a B.A. in Economics from North Carolina State University. He has also completed Executive Programs in Finance from The Wharton School, and Marketing Management from Columbia Business School.
