North American industrial power consumers are experiencing profound economic growth that’s rapidly increasing their demand for traditional, new, and (where possible) zero-carbon energy. The Chips Act and IRA provided tremendous financial incentives for expanding existing operations and for onshoring new manufacturing facilities. However, that growth also introduced new challenges and exacerbated older issues for industrial growth, including the need for more and “additional” renewable electricity, access to natural gas, permitting backlog, interconnection delays for load and generation, transmission constraints, and supply chain issues (i.e. transformers). Join us for a conversation with the companies building large-scale infrastructure and next-generation products to power and mobilize North America in a discussion about the opportunities and challenges.
