Grassroots environmental and conservation organizations have played a key role advocating for the federal and state policies driving decarbonization of the electric sector, including the transition away from fossil generation. Rapid and unanticipated load growth can lead utilities to default to seeking to maintain or build new fossil generation. This session will focus on ways to engage with grassroots leaders and equip them with the information and tools they need to be allies in the transition.
