Monica Walker works for General Motors as their Renewables and Energy Strategy Manager. She is responsible for efforts to make our grid greener and more resilient; and to ensure that GM meets its RE100 commitment: all operations powered 100% by renewable energy in the US by 2025, and globally by 2035. This includes advocating for legislation that supports clean energy, procuring renewable energy, and ensuring a just transition to an all-electric future. She also manages the facilities EV charging program. Monica has been with General Motors for 8 years, and has been responsible for environmental compliance programs in Flint, well as corporate sustainability waste reduction initiatives. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering as well as an MBA from the University of Michigan.
