Wayne Chomitz, Director, Tax Equity & Structuring, is responsible for executing tax equity and M&A engagements in the solar, wind, battery storage, and carbon capture sectors and for providing transaction support across various Marathon Capital engagements.

Since joining Marathon in 2020, Mr. Chomitz advised on a variety of noteworthy transactions, including Nestle’s tax equity investment in 7X’s 250 MW Taygete I Energy solar project, placement of the tax equity financing for Doral’s 400 MW Mammoth North solar project, and the sale of energy storage developer East Point Energy to Equinor.

Prior to joining Marathon, Mr. Chomitz worked for Coronal Energy, LLC, an independent power producer focused on utility-scale solar and storage projects for seven years. He was responsible for managing tax equity, debt, and M&A transactions and oversaw the financial analysis of Coronal’s development projects.

Mr. Chomitz received his BA in English and Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, his Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, and his MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles, Anderson School of Management. He holds his Series 63 and 79 licenses.
