Speaker Bio
My Walmart journey began in the summer of 2008 as an intern on the supply chain engineering team. I joined full-time in 2009 at our distribution center in Cheyenne, WY, where I supported projects to increase our grocery shipping capacity. Soon after, I was tapped for a cross-functional initiative to build a network of Fulfillment Centers that enabled Walmart.com’s next-day shipping. Over the next six years, I led the design, launch, and ramp of our eCommerce supply chain—including the strategic integration of Jet.com’s supply chain operations. In 2018, I transitioned to supply chain automation, leading an engineering group tasked with designing, developing, and deploying automation solutions across Walmart’s vast distribution network. Today, I lead the Walmart Energy team, where we’re focused on enhancing energy security, driving cost savings, and building value-creating businesses that accelerate Walmart’s progress toward a zero-emissions future.

I developed a love for retail early on, working in a local grocery store during high school in roles ranging from bagger and checker to stocker and co-manager. In college, I spent time with PepsiCo, where I led direct-to-store distribution (DSD) merchandising and inventory management for major retails, including Walmart, Target, and Kroger.

My life is guided by faith, family, and fitness. Born in farm country in Kansas, I learned the value of a strong work ethic and developed a competitive spirit that led me to play college football and ultimately pursue an Engineering degree from Kansas State University. My wife, Kristen, and I have been married for 16 years and are proud parents to Calvyn (13), Avalyn (10), and Hollyn (8). Whether we’re exploring the outdoors, traveling, or serving our community, we’re always on the move—especially when chasing our kids’ sports and ninja warrior competitions.

I also give back by serving on the Engineering Academy and Engineering Advisory Board at Kansas State University. Mentoring and building high-performance teams are at the core of my professional purpose, as I strive to bring both innovation and light to every challenge.
